Why I decided to
become a donor?
For me, the birth of a child has always been something magical and my husband and I wanted a large family, but at first he was diagnosed with infertility, for the sake of the birth of a child we were ready to do anything and even more at that moment. In 2021, our eldest was born, absolutely healthy, we were the happiest. In May, when he was 1.5 months old, he suffered from intussusception due to rotavirus, and the baby was admitted to intensive care in serious condition. For us, the whole world stopped then. Fortunately, within six months of complex treatment, the baby completely recovered and until he was three years old he had no other illnesses at all. From that moment on, my husband became an honorary blood donor. For me, donating blood is difficult, I’m afraid of the sight of blood and I definitely won’t be able to do it for such a long time.
