A dysfunctional family was sitting on the playground in the yard and drinking alcohol.
They did not keep an eye on the child, and he crawled away from them towards the road. Seeing what was happening from the window of my house, I ran outside (I was 14 years old, I was alone at home)
When I ran to the scene, the child was already on the roadway, the car was approaching. At the last moment I took the child in my arms. The car flew past me.
There’s not even pride in this moment, but more surprise from myself.
I wouldn't have thought that I could save someone's life.
